let the fun of the build begin
well i wanted to race mardave and hell did i get a deal
all this (minus the motor, speedo, servo and reciver). thats the chassie, 2 shells, 2 wings, 2 complete sets of wheels tires, 1s liop, rear diff, all bearings, trackrod kit, countersunk chassie, screwset and upgrade track rod set for £150. i still got to get a lipo voltage booster but that shoudl be easy enough
now i got the fun of the build to begin and paint up the shells, this is going to be a simple and fun and cool build to do

Re: let the fun of the build begin
yea 1st tip from GAZZA
put axle in cordless and with a small file just take the edge down this is done so they DONT flop about . . . do a bit at a time till there a snug fit
NOTE:- some axles need the whole length doing. . . it all depends on the ones you have mine needed the whole length

Re: let the fun of the build begin
the mardave is now complete minus the lipo booster
first off we assemble the front arms, very straight foward to so and the instructions tell you in plain english how to assemble them. the arms and axles are for the bearing fit wheels. the were however .02mm too big and i used an emory cloth to bring them down so the wheels are a tight fit on the axles. when assembling the arm assemble then the wrong way up as it will lower the front end and improve handeling
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
these then get assambled onto the chassie, the regular chassi is a flat chassie but i have gone for the upgraded countersunk chassie and screw kit. put a spacer under the front arm to improve the caster
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
now the guidepins and the pivit ball on the rear of the chassie is added , make shure to use threadlock on the nuts so they dont come loose
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
the rear end now get assembled before being put on the chassie. this is where the motor and the rear axle sits
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
this all goes onto the rear of the chassie with the rear springs sitting on the rear. i have tightened these so they sit comfortably down but withought being tight
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
now in goes the rear axle. i have used the upgraded rear bearings and upgrade rear diff. thankfully this is a ball diff that comes premade.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
in goes the motor.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
time to fit the battery tray and the servo, again very basic fitting. i have the upgraded battery tray with the velcro strap
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
we get the ESC in place and tidy up the wires abit. it all fits really nice and snuggly
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
we get the reciver on top of the servo, the novak havokpro ESC is faily big so im already running out of room. center the servo up and fir the steering. again very basic but great, its one less thing to setup like in TC racing
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
bodyposts on and test fitting the bodyshell. these bodys arent very well marked so you need to pretty much mark it up yourself
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
add a custom front foam bumper and glue up the tires, i know they say you need to tape them but i have been advised that glueing is better. and since a whole set of wheels and tires is about £10 just get another set when these wareout
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
finally paint and mount up the bodyshell

Re: let the fun of the build begin
very Nice
Just turn the front A arms over so the lugs are down
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Note the Hitec low profile servo with HS225MG ( metal Gears ) as used by 1/12th guys not bad at £20
Motor MAY need swoping to other side if it goes into reverse
Plug a 2s lipo in gazza to test

Re: let the fun of the build begin
Also a smaller screw in the rear pod ball so theres no thread showing out of the top.
Also for the future a kimbrough servo saver as they have less slop and can take alot more abuse
