It was a good days racing.

Congrats to the winners. :-)

I played my part as usual with the slowest Mardave that history has known. Bought a lexan shell today to see how much quicker the car would be and guess what? It was nearly a second slower!

Found one problem with it and that was the plastic spacers on the rear axle. The near side one has worn meaning power isn't going equally to both wheels. Will replace that with another spur section that I've got.

I just wish I could get the car faster overall.

It's taking the corners really well and feels nice, but it's left standing on acceleration and on the straights.

I'll definitely come and get your help though. Cheers.

John BTW. Wink

Wicked day great racing and chuffed with me car now it's been tweaked by megadave on the laser level.
Got a lap of 16.30 which I am very happy with but at the end of the day megadave checked me g2 motor and it was quicker in reverse so I've changed it round and looking forward to getting a 15 lap in.

My old G2 motor was quicker in reverse, but when I tried to reverse it it refused to trim up.

Quick tip for you if your g2 is quicker in revesre just swop the side the motor is one and flip the axle so it drive from the other side of the pod (thats the quick way). Also a good idea to re-set up your speedo when you change these things and remember to set your throttle trims to neutral before you do it so the speedo is set properlythen when you add trims to it it actually has the effect its supposed to.

What do you mean by throttle trim? I flipped my motor as megadave was there to tell me the best way.
I'm very happy with the set up and tyres now as megadave took it round the track and he was impressed so that's a big thumbs up as he is a rocket and a legend.

lol glad he apporves buddy Laughing
By throttle trim I mean the neutral point adjustments just like you have expo, lock, dead zone etc for steering you have abs, trailing throttle, break travel, etc tec etc. To get the maximum power out of the speedo or to have the speedo functions working properly you must re set up the speedo when you change things like the direction the motor is running.

A classic mistake is that the speedo is actually using reverse to go forward because it hasnt been set up properly with the channels un-reversed and this makes the car seem faster in reverse because when the car goes backwards its actually forwards in regards to the speedo.

This is usually only spotted when a speedo has a time limit on how long you can reverse for then people always ask "why does my car keep cutting out?"
