A Day In Hell comes right Empty A Day In Hell comes right

Post  Admin Mon Oct 11, 2010 3:35 am

Well when it goes right, today I decided to use the stock g2 ready for the winter series and not my trusty brushless car. From the word goes I was invaded with problems first off was the servo saver broke. Peter lax was there to offer help but a quick stop of at the ardent shop and a new one was fitted. Then a bent king pin.
When Gazza put the car on the laser set up the balance was off the scale and as we both scratched our heads Gaza noticed the lexan battery tray was fouling the heat sink.
A quick cut of the lexan put this right straight away I noticed the car was handling a little better but still a pig in the corners.
Peter lax then done the dual rate this transformed the car again, each time I was tempted to just put the car to one side and leave it and use the brushless.
But this was not the reason I was here to run brushless it was to set the winter stock up for the series, being 9th on the grid with a car that handled like a Turkish wrestler I carried on and it paid off.
Now the car was performing and taking the corners well a whole new way of driving from brushed and brushless I could hold the speed in the bends
So round 3 saw the car going well and as it came in front of the rostrum I noticed a wheel rolling just in front of my car yes it was mine,
Sorry to those on the rostrum with my rant as I went down to collect the car all to their amusement.
Next race seen me climb back up from bottom place the car was now a dream to drive this now placed me 7th on the final grid. A good start and I had moved up another two places 7 laps in and the front wheel fell off again.
Back in the pits gazza solved the problem but by then the day was over so all in all I had a sh*te but good learning day at the track 1 last thing the Speedo was to slow to react in reverse so I will now address this with a new one.
The day was great the company was brill but I am sure Gazag gave me a cold with his coughing never mind at least it was free!!!!!!

But alas thats how it goes but the results were very close well done to Daz who took the win . . . only just as his tyres on the front were almost gone affraid

Also note

The top 5 were running 13.5 brushless motors and Dan was using 4 cell Nimhs and not 1s LiPo study

What speedo are you using? Can't the reverse delay be setup on it?
