M-troniks esc! could this work?????????

Hi guys
& girls

I poped into me local RC shop after some info on esc's and the problem i have with me standard m-tronics,
that it has no drag brake and i keep running on to far into the corners!
so they suggested to adjust the trim back so that when I let go off the throttle it will enter into the reverse zone and give me braking!

This does actually work but the m-troniks ecs has instant reverse,
so the question is can this damage the motor or esc???????

I mean when i use any sort of brake anyway its doing the same thing isint it!

Which MTroniks do you have? I thought you could program the amount of braking they have from zero (immediate reverse) to several seconds' worth?

Mine is an Eco Oval I think, and that does have brake? I remember John saying that they all come from Mardave configured differently though...

hi si,
if you trim it back on your controler just enough so that it doesent start to reverse you will recive a small amount of "drag brake" when you lift off.
this way it wont start to reverse when you lift off.

have you tried slowing down sooner for the corner, usually works

lift sooner than you want and the car will hit the apex of the corner no matter which class of racing you do
