1. which 10mm box spanner would you recommend for the diff nut, cheapy from the bay or a better quality one?

2. anyone fitted a thrust race assembly from another car, is yes which one?

the one you get on the glow plug 4 way spanner will be fine

I just use long nose pliers as you dont need it mega tight.

I use a snap on socket and ratchet wrench as you get more feel for how tight you need it but never over tighten.

go to halfords or the like and get a 10mm socket and leave the Plastic tab on as you can use it in you hand a lot better like this one below
