Better if you put 6 cells in it ?

They went down the sides where the "L" is 3 a side if you remember

True Gazza, but I was thinking of dropping a small 2C lipo into the battery tray instead. Twisted Evil

Ok,I did a wee test run with a FTX Voltz 1800mAh 2s lipo pack running on a cheap Ansmann 21T motor and a 15T pinion. All I can say is that this thing fairly tramps along, certainly in excess of 20mph+ even on the rather uneven road outside, though it runs even better on the pavingstones out in the backyard, though there isn't the room to get her up to full speed. This wee car could be great fun to drive in some of the ultra smooth multi-storey carparks. The traction that you get from the foam tyres as fitted, really allow you to get the power down, and that's with no additive at all. I am really surprised at the performance of this old Mardave, and I can't quite see why they ever stopped making them. Ok,so she has no suspension at all, other than chassis flex, and she gets some air when you go over small stones, but she stays upright when she lands,so thats great as far I'm concerned.

I don't know how she'll perform on a carpet track, but with a 2s lipo, she has more than enough speed to make her a challenge to drive. I must admit, that I really love this car,it's so much better than I ever thought it would be. I had the intention of just having her as a shelf queen, but after that test drive, that decision would just be a waste of a great little car. Cool
