MArdave to do's
Right this is how i break in my nice shiney g2 motors.
The last one i broke in i did some thing diffrent
I ran it in positive to posative on 3v for two min's to set her in.
Then i went to run it in reverse on a 4cell pack for 8mins.
oilled the brushings
light wd40 in the motor and off you go
give her a clean every 4/5 races

Re: MArdave to do's
Having thought about this
Its the future because brushed is old and outdated now
Nimhs are dissapearing fast
After racing agaist him on the 14th his car was evenley pased against the midranged brushed 4 cell guys.

So as you can see its right on the pace.
We was thinking to limit it to the nosram evil esc and dragon motor

Re: MArdave to do's
I know that but Gary is on the mind set that if we limit it to the lrp / nosram combos
A it keeps the costs down!
B it also keeps the speed down.
C it keeps everybody to the same set ups so then its down to driver not the guy with the biggest budget.

At Hinckley for the Mardave GP and the club day before it, I was the red/white Lotus Elise in the open class but running the G2 brushless on 1S LiPo and it was a perfect match for the stock class to replace the G2 brushed motors and 4 cell NiMh, cheaper, easier, and more consistent, no water dipping, no cell balancing, no NiMh worries, was lovely. If you want a level playing field, Mardave have it all wrapped up and ready to go! I added a Novak voltage booster to keep the radio happy, obviously.
Check the new January Issue of RRCi (Out Dec 1st in all good hobby shops, Dec 7th in WHSmiths) for the Hinckley Mardave GP Report and the Mardave Brushless review with 1S article too.
