Mark and Nicholas in Holland
Some of you will be aware of our trip to race with the Dutch in Holland, yesterday we contested the Dutch Banger Open, Nicholas came away with wrecker of the day and picked up a nice trophy, and with his help along the way I won the title of Dutch Open Champion, Today we are racing the Stockcars, we had plenty of practice yesterday and both of us are looking capable of making the final, it all depends on the sem-final draw, as only the top three from each go into the final, give you all an update tonight as it is time to go racing!

Re: Mark and Nicholas in Holland
We have just arrived home from our trip, we left Holland european time at 06.10am, and arrived home at 4.30pm gmt time, over the weekend we have covered some 1030 miles! We had a fantastic time as usual with some great banter with our Dutch colleuges, the racing was top notch all weekend, no spoiling tactics just good fair racing, Yes we were victorious in the Bangers, Nicholas was unlucky on Sunday as it took a couple of rounds to sort out the handling of his car, once sorted he was putting in the laps needed for qualification through to the semi-finals, with his low 66 laps having to count done the damage and he missed out by 7 laps, I had an exceptional day, qualifying for the semi-finals in second place, and beating the current European / British Open champ in a few of the rounds, the start of the semi was going to plan and I had eased up with no pressure on the qualification into the final, that is until I hit another car head on which broke the reciever crystal, thing is one more lap and I would have been through to the final in third place, so the remaning 20 odd seconds of the race would have given me at least another 6 to 7 laps! Never mind though that is racing, we live to fight another day, once we have recoverd from our trip we will post some photos for you to have a look at, see some of you on Wednesday!
