Getting foam off old wheels
Ok heres 1 for you all.
How do you remove old foam off your wheels to leave just the plastic hub behind, any offers or suggestions failing that have a go and let us know the results its harder than you think or do you know an easy way to do it.

Re: Getting foam off old wheels
Idea number 1)
Somehow attach the wheel to a drill chuck and place the drill in a drill stand, and on a fairly low speed spin up the wheel and gentle remove the foam using a file or something similar.
Idea number 2)
Try some de-bonding fluid to soak the wheels in, weather the foam would allow enough to be soaked up to break down the glue i dont honestly know, but surely would be worth a try. JUST MAKE SURE FIRST THAT ANY FLUIDS DONT EAT AWAY AT THE PLASTIC WHEELS!!!
Idea number 3)
This is a more expensive option but would be the best by a long shot. Try and find a tyre truer for a 12th scale pan car and purchase a adaptor to fit the wheel and lock a Carisma wheel into place. These can be purschased from Exotek from what i can remeber.
Failing any of the above there is always the unfavourable way which is hold the wheel in one hand and gentle rub them down with sandpaper!

Re: Getting foam off old wheels
when i get the foam off my mardave wheels (so i can re-use them) i just soak them accetone and the foam goes really soft and you are able to just peel the foam away from the wheel enabling you to re-use the wheel.
