Do we need the chatroom i have been monitoring it over the last week on the stats and its seems that its just looking like a waste just for the selected few who use it so will make a call on it sunday as to close it or not

The chat room is handy, because is almost instant (depending how quick you type !)
you can see all coments, some bad, some good of recent,
may be an idea to keep something for the commity to talk, so any mass debate's cant be seen by jo public
and keep the site at a proffesional level.
Hopfully attracting more people.
But without knowing the implications of having a chat room, additional costs, time needed to run etc etc
you have got to way up all options really!

Mate the chat room should stay, its somewhere for people to meet up and have a quick chat in the evenings instead of sitting on facebook or another chat program they come into the site and use the facility's, yes its only a hand full of people that use it but that's ok it does get used, if no one used it at all then yes removing it would make no difference.

My vote is it stays.................

Paul you know my view on this and the others should know.
My view is if it goes it means "this" site wont be any diffrent to the other forums like oople/racechat ect.
This chat is rearly what sets this forum apart from the others and if the chat goes most of us might go with it as some on here only come onto the chat and very little posting ect.

Just my view

Nick has a valid point. It is really what makes this site different. Maybe the site staff should consider making this a kind of facebook of the rc world and that would bring more racers on here.

Ok lads i value your input and take on board what you have said show us how your wayweard thoughts could be put into practice tomo love that you have vision mate could it work

of course I dont know how this site is set up and what software you've used to build it and therefore I dont know the scope of what you can do.
I do think this site has great potential and you have a lot of enthusiasum to drive it forward.

A possible route to take would be to get race organisers to get in on a links or "friends" page where there are direct route to a sub page of chat that relates to there race meets and links to the results and there pages and vice versa.
This should increase site traffic for both parties.
As I said just some small thoughts.
