Re: New Venture
I've been using dry rub off paper for a while doing this. It does give a great effect and is an easy way of getting that truly personalised look.

Hi Paul, just be careful which lacquer you use to seal them as you know ive been making them for quite some time and there's only one that works without splitting and peeling off after you have used the car for a while, most lacquers are to brittle when they set and also some of them yellow after a while, the one they recommend to use is no good for rc cars unless the surface is perfectly flat.
good luck with it.

Re: New Venture
there great iv only used then a few time and iv used clear nail varnish to seal them
gazza you have to seal then because when you put them in the water the ink comes off if you dont
only problem i have with them is you can only use white to back then with unless you get white waterslide but then you have to trim them perfectly witch can be a bit of a pain

Re: New Venture
I've always sealed them with PVA as it remains flexible enough and is clear when dry.
Apart from water slide and dry rub decals I've used pictures from comics and magazines. These I have stuck on with PVA and they have worked a treat. The most important factor is that the shell has been keyed and is thoroughly clean.
