Re: Help the heros
Don' t want to worry you guys, but i was helping out at the UK endurance masters at the weekend which also supported Help for Heroes & they raised around £2000 for charity. They've not done the final count yet, but it's close on that figure.

Why would it worry us every penny helps cannot see what you are trying say.
what i'm trying to say is it's a big target & will take some beating as charity RC events go, but it gives a target to try & better.
I just think it would be nice to let you know on here so we can share their success. Besides, what's wrong with a bit of competition to see who can / has raised the most money for charity, at the end of the day it's a good thing.
On a personal note, i think the £2000 they made at the UKEM is a superb achievement, just hope other events are as successful..
Re: Help the heros
I think u are missing the sight its not who raises the most ian its showing we care and getting out sport noticed 2000 was brilliant but the end of the day be it 2000 or 200 its a good cause
Re: Help the heros
Im the organizer of said event
the winner is the charity!!
These guys do fantastic work for us fighting in foreign lands (Im ex-RAF Regiment myself) and every penny we make for them is a massive boost!! Personally I dont need assistance from H4H as I wasnt injured when I did my tours, but those that are get sweet FA off the government, and this is where H4H comes in!!
Maybe next year we can get together and organise a charity event between us and raise the bar significantly higher! The biggest Rc derived charitable contribution ever is my goal!! But for my drivers the goal is the best RC event of the year. Something that every driver that attended has remarked on!! And that wasnt without massive headaches! I aged 5 years in 1 week I had that much crap in the background!!
Neobuggy???? PFFFFFT UK Endurance Masters!!!!!
