Ardent today

Big thank you to all who dug deep in their pockets for this event .today warrant officer w o 1 Arthur Gribbin came along to support help the heroes fund at ardent with craftsman Luther James and James Havinden and I think they had a great day with us all.
Another big thank you goes to John wells who donated £200 of x box equipment well done James
The day kicked of really well with the first series event for the mardaves and all the Ardent faithfully were there to support the event.
Later in the day all three of the soldiers took to the track to have ago at racing the cars themselves
Wo 1 Gibbin was have a great time smashing John Dawson’s mardave at every chance to the roar of the spectators but all managed to do quite a few laps well done boys.
The final collection amount has not been counted yet but we did take £100 off just people chucking in the tin big big thank you for this also the cakes seemed to have gone in seconds.
Everyone played a big part in this event today and I thank you all very much so here’s a few pictures for you guys to mull over also don’t forget it will be in radio race car next month as well

Great day and nice pics Paul. Didn't get in the army as my wife Nikki can't come with me so I had to decline
I had a good chat with the boys and gave them some tips on the Mardaves and heard some storys about the stuff they get up to. Top men and a massive thankyou for them for coming to the race.

Had a wicked day today lots of nice people specialy the army boys and from the pic's I think they had a good time!
Hope we got what we wanted out of the day!
Not so sure about john's car but I sure he can aford another

I even managed to knock 2 sec's of me lap time thanks to some good input from wayne!
I even got Gazag turn down cakes!
So to all you chaps out there wait till he's had a couple of sasauge baguette's then pull out the cakes!
I put Gazza's bad performance ( his word's not mine) to his MAN FLU.
Pauls bad luck well, next time I'm gonna stop him chopsing when we get there and get him out on the track!
He'll be back on track beford you know it!

Thanks everyone for today, it was great racing and great to see the support from the Army, they sure enjoyed themselves, I wouldn't be surprise if they come again to be honest :-). We raised £150 in total from collections and cake sales, and the Raceway (well me) will make up the rest so we can get them a TV and a PS3. look out for the pics of us handing it all over and challenging some heroes at guitar hero!

Thanks also to John Wells for donating over £200 worth of PS3 games and kit and to Paul for creating the idea and getting the army there.

I had a really fun day and those cakes were so nice.

I videoed our new friends having their race and will get it edited and uploaded sometime today. I too think they enjoyed their day with us and it would be great if they come back for more.

Only just got up, so a few coffee's and I'll be ready to recount my experience of the day properly (and sort the video's).

I had a great day today and it is nice to see a pic of my car (blue audi tt) in action i dont get to see them very oftern as i am usually the one taking the pics lol

Althought in the 2nd final I ended up with only 3 wheels on my F1
