Hi mate nice work at least your in f1 now. The hpi shell looks mental in lotus colours and the yeah racing conversion looks a good way to go. If you need set up tips chat to dez chand as he has the best handling hpi I have seen on carpet.
Re: the elfs are at it again
I was looking at the HPI till I found out the cost of the Hop Ups
Thats why I went for a the 3Racing F109.....cheap as chips and handles a dream

Re: the elfs are at it again
the f109 is the better car buy a ripping mile couldn't get the hpi to do what the tamiya did straight from the box and got humped by f109s week in week out.
Good luck with it gazag i hope the new conversion helps turn it into a decent car for you.

Re: the elfs are at it again
i hope it goes well too, got it built today and electrics into it, but the yeah racing conversion on its way along with some foam wheels (need to find foams for them).
im not doing anything fancy with the shell, probally a brught single colour and stickers. the fliping thing comes in about 6 pieces so will have to make shure its well stuck together.

Yeah the side pod winglets are poo! Gazag try mardave foams on to start with as I know Gazza did and they worked well. I can mail you some links aswell for places to order foam. Gecko do some that fit I believe.
Re: the elfs are at it again
it will take about 2 weeks for the bits to arrive (well 7-14 days) so ill wait for the wheels to come then size them up and decide what i going to do, i know though it will be very sticky rears and plenty of understeer on the front, just the way i like it
pod winglets?
