Looks nice mate. Like the shiney bits. Just check that you can fit the motor in with that brace on the front of the pod.
Re: Well here goes
Yep motor fits in just fine tomo i checked as i was doing it mate more pics to come later
Re: Well here goes
I noticed that when it come off the track in my other car that the plastic was warm and you could ply it a bit may work may not. i was thinking if it can flex maybe this will stop it
Re: Well here goes
It will work mate as I saw a couple with them on the 4th round at ardent. I have one on mine but in a slightly different place but still does the same job.
Looking forward to the rest of the build.

Re: Well here goes
the rear brace is a lb racing mod and stops the motor pod twisting when hot, does the job perfect...

use a body reamer to start the holes (make sure each side is level) use associated balls (they are slightly smaller than the mardave ones) then put tie rod on tight, you can use an associated L4 lower turnbuckle perfect fit.. great mod
Re: Well here goes

Re: Well here goes
Yes Dom you are right.
It sits just over the base but doesn't catch when it moves side to side. I had the pod pop off a few times and I wanted a quick fix to stop it from happening agen and to now it's never popped off.

Re: Well here goes
Christ Buddy that is the most over engineered pod brace I have ever seen lmao.
Try losing abit of bulk and weight in that area to lower your all important C of G.

Re: Well here goes
there is nothing wrong with this clip , no need to consult james as there is nothing in previously run rules or the current hinckley ones that prohibits anything like this being used , it is not performance enhancing it is for improved reliability and as stated earlier nothing in the rules to ban this and no need to either .

Re: Well here goes
Tomo it weighs nothing realy and it's over engernered only because if it was lower in hight then motor heat sick doesn't fit and if placed lower on the pod it touches the bats and the rock motion is compromised. Also it needed to be easy to take of as with the position of it the motor can't come out with it there. Also th heat sick won't be bouncing down the track after a bump like last time because it sits between the fins
As for the clip it's light and cheap as chips, James idea is perfect but costs £8 if I recall correctly?
Dale I dont think they mean as in the rules as James has a different pod saver that he came up with.
