Well I've almost sorted a gt car out, what's the better option 1 or 2 cell?
I can do either just need to buy a motor to suit. The car will hopefully be a 10r5, I can either run standard 1cell or get the full option conversion for 7.4v.

All depends on where you will be mainly using it. Personally i dont think theres a deal of difference, but if you'll be running at Ardent, then a 2S may give you a slight advantage, but for me, a well set up 1S is just as good.

I'm sticking to 1S...for me the car handles better and I can race the same set up in the big US races. Has been 10.5 in the "Pro" class for the IIC in Vegas, and "blinky" 13.5 now for the Snowbirds.

If you've already got 12th speedos and LiPos then it makes the 1S option a lot easier. You'll have the kit to power the Rx at low voltage (booster or a Rx pack).

Jason's been working with a stubby 2S pack designed for the Losi 22 buggy. Will just about fit across the 10R5 chassis in the battery slots. Would need a 17.5 motor for current rules, and obviously speedos will run on that voltage without any extra kit.

GT cars handle so well...you'll enjoy either option cheers

Thanks for the info Mark, car should be with me tomorrow so I can spend Xmas rebuilding her, I think I'm going to go 1cell, so I either use my tekin rs with a rx pack or booster or buy a hobby wing 1cell, If I were to run rx packs where do you get them from and how long do they last?

Cheers
