Fast Pace Racing - San Jose, CA Indoor Mini-Z
Hi Guys,
don't know if this forum has a Kyosho Mini-Z forum yet, but I own an indoor RC track and race Mini-Z's on them.
This is a really cool site, I also do outdoor drifting on Sundays out in the parking lot with our road rail system.
You can check out our webpage [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
thanks,
Pete

They run on 4 AAA batteries and the guys go very technical into battery care and battery matching to get the most performance out of them.
The most popular batteries we run are Orion 750mah AAA or the Orion 900mah AAA which have longer run time but less punch.
Kyosho has a huge range of bodies for these cars as well as a Truck and a 4WD version.
Look them up on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] under the Mini-Z section.
These cars all run on KO Propo electtronics and are all 2.4ghz, they also make a cheaper 27mhz AM version, but they tend to glitch when there are alot of people in the room.
We also do Mini-Z drifting and you can watch one of our races here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
In the USA they newest chassis the MR-03 is about $180.00 for the chassis bodies range from $33.00-$50.00 USD
The stock 2.4ghz radio goes for $80.00 USD
You are looking at the $350.00 range to get up and started, but once you are dialed in all you need is a tire change every once in awhile.
At $4.00 a tire set, you can't beat that... and best of all Friday Nights at the shop is all for FREE :-)

Re: Fast Pace Racing - San Jose, CA Indoor Mini-Z
any dealer with a kyosho account can get them , but i do know sarah at sld models does a lot of them
Re: Fast Pace Racing - San Jose, CA Indoor Mini-Z
The mini-Z was launched here in the UK ages ago and has fell to the way side with limited interest i suspect as no where over here runs/supports them, paul at kits and bits used to do them but hasn't for quite some time now.
There is a tone of upgrades for them just have a look around, well there was at 1 point but not cheap....the only major let down is the cell's they use i would seriously think about lipo'ing 1 if it was to take off here again, Paul them little lipo's you got for the shark would probably get in there with a mod or 7.
Lee do you have any contacts with them or pricing maybe, or if you see this Sarah what's the score on them these days

Kyosho already released a LiFe battery set for the Mini-Z but they haven't really picked up here in the states yet. The AAA cells work good for club racing.
