Tyre Choice for Ardent & Tamworth
Hi Guys,
I've had a great summer away from racing but im very much looking forward to getting back into it.
Ive read through the guides on tyres and know the pink mediums are the way for the rear but didn't want to spend a fortune on getting a massive range for the front and wondered what has been working at Ardent & Tamworth?
Alex

Hi Alex
Again its so hard ( LOL ) to say what works for one person wont work for another but as ardent has GOOD GRIP its 42 or 44 front FOR ME
Paul likes 50 on the front . . . . see what I mean
So Alex you will need a few fronts untill you find Your Style
OR
So go for 42 & 46
That way if 42's are to gripy put on the 46's if the 46's give you under steer then apply some additive on the inside edge about 5mm in then you will know what you want

How do..... I'm running pink 54s on front and it works great for me. I'm on stiff on the rear and med springs on front. Testing some more tyres on Friday as I do have a little understeer at times but a think it's my driving style to blame

Also Tamworth track is alot more slippy than ardent. Loads of over steer for me so I put some additive on the front as I didn't have any softer tyres trued up. Only some jap mediums but they were worse.

Err Wayne . . . . that's totally opposite to what you should do
If over steer then NO additive is needed that would make it worse
and you need a harder tyre not soft . . . . . . gonna call you Rodney now you plonker
