Brushed ESC for Mardave?? Empty Brushed ESC for Mardave??

Can anyone recommend a good programmable esc for running with the Mardave standard motors. For some reason our club wants to go backwards and drop the brushed stuff?!?!?!

Laughing

No worries well the speedmaster v60 or mardave g28 wh5ch are the sa0e s*eed6 5s the best for the silvercan motors.
The tekin brushed speedo is good too and can be tweaked via the hotwire system but It is still lacking in grunt compared to the v60 and g28.
Hope this helps

speedmaster V60 would be my choice. I would love one in my mardave but don't have the funds plus the one I've got in at the mo "LRP pro digital runner" seems fine but could do with a little more torque.

Just installed an MRT VX Pro that I have in mine. Not run it yet though as the cars not ready to rumble. Hope to use it soon though.

Are they worth it compared to other makes like the one I've just installed?

£65 is a lot of cash for some when used high end brushed ones can be picked up for a lot less

Yeah I see your point. The v6 and g28 are much more punchy than the higher end speedos that have been desined with stock all the way upto mod motors in mind so they are good across the board but not stunning in anyone area.

The v60/g28 is designed totally around the silvercan motors and really does seem to have an edge.

I tried afew different speedos as did a large number of my mates who all race regularly.
I used an lrp quantum pro reverse for quite awhile RRP £129.95 when new if I remember correctly(much cheaper on ebay now as you correctly point out). It was very good but lacked again in the punch area but matched if slighly better than the v60/g28 at the end of the straight.
Quite afew other speedos were tried.
Marti AKA dirtyghost has quite a cheap speedo that seems very close to the v60/g28 in performence to but I cannot for the life of me remember what its called.
I am sure he will enlighten us.

I have even gone to the lengths of measuring power outputs on a regulated 4.8v supply from the speedos when I considered racing silvercan again. Not much in it but again the v60 came out top with the tekin brushed 2nd and quantum 3rd. (martis make of speedo not tested)

However a cheap f/r tamiya speedo I had that I think you can get for £20 new was seriously close to the tekin and quantum so if your on a budget thats the one I would go for. It also drove very well and Si won the stock championship awhile back at DDMCR club with one.
