F1 at ardent 30/01/11

a video from the A final at ardent on sunday including a great closeup if tomo's car being smashed into

I didnt even want to watch that all the way through
For those wondering the car didnt get off the line due to problems caused by a marshall standing on my car earlier in the day cracking the speedo case that had gone un noticed with my tekin that I had been hoping to use being returned to the ardent shop as was faulty.

Fairly depressing day for me but I think some guys enjoyed it.

I plan to go up to ardent again with a couple of f1 guys if they fancy it and see what we could have all achieved given a fair chance at a race.
Anyone up for this this sunday?

What a great start i made (green f1) only to get hit by the Corally F1 on the corner
are well there,s next time.
10 car final is many and there was not enough marshalls

F1 racing at Stafford this Sunday 6th Feb

Think i was the lucky one went from last on the grid to first but no way i was going to keep that gt10 dressed up as a F1 behind me.

It can be done dom if a certain marshal hasn't squished my car I would've taken pole

It is a shame the corally f1s are allowed as they aren't an f1 really, do hope they're not allowed in te brca f1 rules

it was the first time I'd raced my F1 at a proper event

qualified 6th which I was happy with only ran 27 turn brushed

got a great start in the final and got to the front for 2 corners then got buried from behind andended up last , got back to 7th by the end

think the driving standards in the final were a disgrace and it needed a referee !!

will try again at the next one tho

i have my eye on an f1 at the miniute as like the look of racing the f1's, unfortunatly its the corally........

dont think the corally will be allowed to race in the brca series as it uses gt10 wheels and tyres and is a lot wider than the true f1's if I remember right

yea its not really a proper f1 is it,
im still trying to get a 10r5 chassis so convert my spare 12th to run that in gt,
would be nice to have 1 set of tyres to use

what are the best f1's out at the mo which are allowed in the class?

I've got the 3 racing f109 only cost £75 ish and goes great

i shall have to have a look up close at some f1's next time i get the chance then
i did see that the f109's were pretty cheap.
