Cheers tommo

Well to all those that came... what a truely epic and ace weekend..

What you missed... Saturday PDW did a master class in Tekin Speedos, the saftware and some insights into brushless motors, This was worth coming for on its own!!!!

Pete then spent a large amount of time with each person who would like tips and advice on the cars, although Pete doesnt run an F1 the principles are the same and this was proven with the work he did on each car.

Sunday.. Mark B turned up with his new F109 that has to be said was DAILED from the onset and this help provide some really good competition and also showed how good (and balanced) an F1 can be in the right hands. This was then backed with with Jason B, Mark B and James further helping with ideas on how to move the cars forward, and more motor speedo talk..

The long and short of it after a weekends running we all feel that 21.5 (open timing) is very very comparable on speed to the G2, and we will be proposing that the 2012 motor choice to be 21.5 (open) /G2 as in you could run either in the same race, we feel this ticks all the boxes...

I didnt take many pics but heres a couple
Mark B and Slotcar (aka Simon T)

Cool

A cracking day for what was actually a shake down for my new F109. I'd spent time researching and completing the build and thought the set up would be a decent place to start. Aside from a loose diff in practice .... Embarassed (thanks for sorting it Jason!) ... the car needed very few changes. We concluded it was overgeared by final 2, I thought my cheap LiPo was depriving me of punch so went to a 50C Nosram pack. And more front additive...full width on full sized fronts cheers

I have some set up tips from Daz to work on now. And will get around to writing up my build and set up down either this week or at the weekend.

The second final looked like a classic...but poor meshing of the smaller pinion on my part meant the end of that. Great racing with Daz, Si and Alan...thanks guys Laughing

I took F1 and GT photos during the day and will publish those later (not sure the free WiFi on the train is up to large phots this morning!)
