some info on a cracking club
About Us
Essentially we race radio controlled model racing cars, this isn't as simple a statement as it might seem, For instance:

There are approximately 15,000 racers in the UK alone.

There are Many different classes of car ranging from small electric powered cars through to cars powered by internal combustion engines, that do over 80 mph.

The racing takes place indoors on carpet, outdoors on purpose built tarmac tracks, and outdoor on off road dirt tracks.

The racing Caters for people from all backgrounds and doesn't discriminate on age sex or disability.

It provides a challenging, sporting environment where the skill required to drive and build the cars can be tested against other like-minded competitors.

Racing takes place at a variety of levels ranging from club level, racing against people from your local area, right up to international level, where racers from all over the world compete against each other.

TRRAC concentrates on the "Electric" classes and races in a sports hall, using a sophisticated timing system, Accurate to 1/1000th of a second.

Who we are !

The Club is run by a committee of individuals whose aim is to-

"Provide facilities for its members and guests to enjoy the racing of Radio Controlled Model cars"

We are a group of experienced model car enthusiasts whose aims are to promote the construction and racing of radio controlled cars.

Amongst these enthusiasts are people who have competed at events over the last ten years along with seasoned National Championship race officials.

You will find these individuals totally approachable and willing to share their enthusiasm and knowledge of the sport.

Model Shops

Check out your local Model shops and hobby stores. Following your visit to TRRAC you'll probably have a good idea which ones the other drivers use. Go along and have a chat, see if they stock spares for the make of car you're thinking of buying. Do they stock a good range? Are they Knowledgeable about the products?

There are links to some model shops in the area as well as to some manufactures and distributors web sites, in the links section of the website.
