Skodes | D1RC 2010 | Yokomo JZX100 | Project 'Lazy Tortoise'

I was talking to Tom the other day and he asked me about my shells for this years D1RC, said he hadn't seen it yet...

So I figure I'll post it here too. I'll post it bit by bit just as I did originally on rc-drift.com so you can see it all step by step.

For this year I'll be using one bodyshell for all the 6 National rounds, based on my old favourite the Yokomo JZX100;

Bit of orange creeping in;

...and my wheels turned up today, now awaiting their own modifications;

I've painted my own window frames in, as I know from experience that the Yokomo window stickers for this body are shocking.

Here it is in all it's 'velvet green' glory with the plaggy wrapping off;

Little update now I've started farting about with some decals. It's not done yet mind.

...and I've just printed my number plates. You'd never guess the car if you only saw the plates;

Few more decal's to come yet and then I'll start on the accessories.

A few close-up's of some decals I made for it to fill some otherwise blank space. The "Lazy Tortoise" is my mascot, as I am myself incredibly lazy and often quite slow;

There we go, still not finished and already the thread's three miles long. When I get some more paint for my wheels and accessories I'll post another few pictures up.

well what can i say what a totally lovely job you have done. nice attention to detail to, the checks are very hard to line up and get equal across the screen, well done bud cant wait to see it in the flesh.
