Glad you enjoyed it mate was a top notch day for f1 and your car was going nice in the end after afew eh hem breakages Rolling Eyes

Me Dez and Nick did have a chat about maybe having a gentlemans agreement to run 13.5 or 17.5 after some of the closing speeds down the straight were causing afew problems. Let me know what you think and just to give you an idea my gt is 13.5 so they would still be plenty fast enough Smile

Well I'm putting a 13.5 brushless setup in my F1-09. Of all those I've talked to it seems to most popular choice.

Yea I must admitt when I ran it there could be a few Gentlemans agrement at the moment I have found that
13.5 and 2s LiPo is the same as 10.5 1s LiPo

also the 6.5 motor's destroy the carbon AXLES dont they Gazag Laughing

and no Corrally F1's

Less speed = less breakages = more FUN

Gazza has it correct and I think 13.5 2s is plenty quick enough still and maintence free and alot of peps already use them. Would be good to see gt and f1 use the same spec 13.5 2s then its kinda simple to race either. The closing speeds were mad though I was comming down the straight and catching a poor guy with a white f109 almost every other lap on the top sweeper. (If that was you then send me a PM as I have soe tips for f1 that will help you out)
Gazag that carbon axle you borrowed from nick had been drilled out to save more wieght hence it was alittle fragile for you.

For the next round at Ardent i will have a 13.5 motor fitted to the F1-09,
It will be a Team Powers Superlite motor, lets see if we all can go down the same route

Hmm yeah, cheers for that guys, straight between the shoulder blades, nice.

Just for info, lots of us thought silvercan in F1 indoors was a great idea, and once the season at Tamworth was over we went elsewhere because the speed merchants were upsetting the balance and insisting on running the odd fast motor which ruined the whole point of F1, and if you think it was me that killed F1 at Tamworth think again.

IN A MESSAGE FROM SHORTY PAUL "Shame about that at tamworth because i thought your idea was well good for the indoor F1 as everyone commented on how close the racing was with the silver can its a shame that Tamworth allowed it to go down hill oh well at least we both tried. Im more committed to runing the drift club we have so have not been to Tamworth for quite some time."

OK perhaps, but that's not how it read, when I was editor I was very careful about what I did and what I said, but I haven't got that burden anymore so I can speak my mind. So I did. Enjoy GT while it lasts ;-)

Had a look at these motors myself ,the 2500kv = 17.5 so little more controllable for the inexperienced or would it .
The price point is very good
This Thursday i used a 17.5 in my T/C and was nearly at quick as the 13.5 guy's . So perhaps we need to look at 21.5 ?
What we really need is the F1 drivers to come out of the wood work ,they are out there ,so when they turn up the advice should be slower and a nice line is better than being a speed merchant , it's cheaper and closer racing is more enjoyable
I like close racing and the hand shake after to confirm its been good for all concerned

Yeah you know me and I am sure dez would be happy to go to a slower motor. I would be happy if we had a big chat with all the f1 lads at the next ardent round and see if we could get somewhere or have a gents agreement
