LB Racing Tyres Empty LB Racing Tyres

Post  Wynney Tue May 24, 2011 3:31 am

Hi guys,

Now I know LB tyres are good, have used them on the rear of my car to great effect.

Notice though that they only run 3 shore ratings for the front 45, 48 and 50 shore. Currently I run between 42 and 46 on the front using Jap tyres - Question is, is the LB so superior that a 45 is as good if not better than a 42 Jap?

Hello Wynney,

Yesterday at ardent I was running lbd50's on the front and had lots of steering, the car was well and truly dialled. The LB tyres both front and rear really are superior.

Hope this helps

Mark......Karl's Dave was like it was on rails Shocked

I ran 27 rear and 44's front and didnt have the steering!
Swapped over to 30's (as the 27's were getting low in dia) and 46 fronts with half width with additive on the front and it was better but still not what I wanted! gonna have to get some 50's to try me thinks as I have 48's but yet to run them!

Had some really close racing yesterday Mark.......Karl on 20 laps and the rest of the field were on 19 laps (in one race) cheers

In my last heat on Friday I moved some weight around that helped, need to run at ardent again but have to sort out a 13.5

At ardent I've run 48 and 46 jap, but 46 has always stayed in the car.

Karl what diameter do you start your fronts at?

I believe karl was sanding his tyres between runs making them cleaner then adding addative, i did'nt bother this round.

Haha, yeah I was just giving the tyres a quick skim between runs to get rid of all the pick up off the track. We normally don't run addative at all on LB tyres, the only reason we were doing at this race meeting was to stop the tyres glazing. I was using half on the front but I was running 50's as opposed to Lukes 48's Smile
