Well what can I say a V10 every one was waiting for is now a . . . . .
caterham
Well I guess thats only expected and a Sam Gray VRX . . . . . Just Looked at the Nat results and cant find Sam Gray any where . .
So why not a Russell Payne or Nick Cooper 2011 spec NOW that would make sense
Dont tell me its got a few bits of plastic and sells for over £100

Re: New Mardave stuff
Yea so most people think the same. . . Sam who ?
whats he done to make V12's good at on road circuit and why would I want one when he is not even in the series ?
and not even on any site or forum re on road PMSL
Now if he brought one out called Jenifer -love-hewitt or even Sam FOX then they might sell

Re: New Mardave stuff
nice friendly site this! i can see why people told me not to bother
mardave started off as oval and the circuit is only a few years old
At hinckleys big meetimg 2008 he came 2nd in brushed, then in 09 he came 3rd in brushed and won the brushless.
You ask who he was so there you go
V12 on road is right and left
buy the look of the short film on you tube, some of you have problems with that

Re: New Mardave stuff
Well I have raced against Sam in brushless at the Gp the other year and he's a good circuit driver. I got a faster lap but he beat me in the finals so I cant really say anything there
Sam as the only factory driver for mardave that I am aware of will always have a chassis named after him being the only one it can be named after as Chirs Wilko wilkinson is now Mr mardave anyway though I think he may have released parts or a chassis to celerbrate his worlds oval win afew years back which is fair enough.
It would be nice to see Chris and sam take part in the circuit series again as this series deserves some factory support.

Re: New Mardave stuff
Do we know what's in the new VRX yet? Is it possible that Mardave is realising that some of the previous VRX parts weren't quite as good as promised and this is an opportunity to reign back the creativity a little?

it is frienddly but as a forum MEMBERS still all have a point of view
mardave started off as oval and the circuit is only a few years old
No it started many years ago with Wes and circuit cars with a flat pan chassis 1/8th I.C and then the 1/12th circuit car back in 1976

not a problem but that was last year and this year . . . nothing so to bring a car out call sam gray spec that is over a year old is not cleaver but to bring one out call Russell or Nick would make more sense as they are the LEADERS and promoting the car at this moment in time which really defeats the object would you go out and buy last years football shirt.. . couse not you go out and buy THIS years shirt
V12 on road is right and left

yes quite a few YOUNG drivers and novice's still do as that was the C final clip and not the B or an A where the standards are I must admit a bit better
Dont get us wrong we know who sam is. We did it to point are view and a bit of banter as . . .
SO WHAT
Thats all. . .We have no idea why Chris does things like this I know of a few people who are wanting a V10 to come back out ( inc me ) and for years now chris said soon then it turns out its a V10 cateringham . . . whats the point of that they dont handle well and not surported much the same as the side car another flop
I could go on and on but you get the point he does not listen to what customers want and if customers cant get it they go some where else I have been waiting for a V10 for years now and a month ago I bought an Xray 10th GT cause I got fed up of waiting and looks like I was right
The only thing that is Mega and supported by quite a few people is the V12 to which Wes and Lee made and is in my eyes still the best little car going and I will SUPPORT THIS till the day I die but if some thing is wrong Yes I will step up and point them out but I will always run the little V12 dave its mega fun if it can be improved then great but to call it some thing over a year ago in this case Sam 2011 spec ..... whoops a boo boo and if its just a couple of plastic parts and its gone up over £20 sorry no go like the so called
"It Has Arrived G4 Worlds Heat sink at a stagering £17.95". . . . . £17.95 for a heat sink
Now thats way over the top as I can get one and I did like many others for £8

Re: New Mardave stuff
lol its the same as the last v10 so erm yeah exactly the same as Gt now only 5mm narrower on the rear axle, simple fix put spacers on the axle or put in a calandra/xray diff.

Best move next is a proper 13.5 sensored combo like the fusion time to admit the G2 system is a flop

Working on new damping system, adjustable front camber, wieght placement for balancing and hoping to get adjustable wheel base. All at mardave HQ at the moment. Got more testing to do on circuit but if is as good on oval as circuit then should be summing special.
And Gazza i believe chris is on talks with mroinks thinking about a way forward for the g2 system.

tell him to dump Mtronics, they have never made a good brushless and dont have the tech to do so
get onto the likes of fusion and ABS hobbies in china and get there systems. they alreday surply to the likes of losi, assosiated, yeah racing and team wave. get in touch with them and get a better system that actually works
